Danny Britt Hometown: Chicago, IL
Danny’s knowledge of the game has been developed through a variety of avenues around the diamond. He had a success as dual athlete in high school playing basketball and baseball at Chicago’s Gordon Tech High School. From there he went to continue his baseball career at Trinity Christian College where he was a two-way player spending the majority of his time on the mound, in the outfield, and at first base. At Trinity he was fortunate enough to have success, and even broke the single-game strikeout record when he tossed a 10 inning complete-game striking out 16 Roosevelt Lakers.
After college, Danny spent a year coaching at North Park University as the team’s bullpen coach. Danny truly believes his perspective of the game completely changed after seeing the results of the staff he worked with. After coaching at North Park, Danny was brought on by the Cincinnati Reds’ Player Development Office as a video coordinator. He spent time working in Goodyear, AZ. helping with extended spring training, and then spent the rookie ball season in Billings, MT doing video work for the Reds’ rookie ball affiliate the Billings Mustangs.
His knowledge of the game comes from a variety of positions in baseball, and he hopes to pass on that knowledge to our athletes at Dream Big in hopes that it gives them a better understanding of what it takes to be consistently successful.
